Ashlee Simpson Heading to Broadway?

Now that a hole has opened up in her professional schedule, Ashlee Simpson may be hooking up with a new gig—on Broadway!
The actress—who was recently relieved of her duties on the CW’s Melrose Place revamp—may be signing on for a starring role in the Broadway production of Chicago, OK! Magazine reports.
This would be familiar territory for Simpson, who played the part of Roxie Hart in a London production of the play for five weeks in  2006. Last year, asked whether she would like to reprise the role, Simpson enthused,
